GEOGRAPHIC ACCIDENT - A geographical accident is an entity of the Earth's surface that is part of the terrain. Mountains, hills, plateaus and plains are the four main types of landforms. Sometimes a cliff splinters at the end of a ridge, and tea tables or other types of rock columns remain. It can be the type of vegetation mature in a particular region and remains stable over time, or a transitional community that occurs temporarily as a result of a disturbance, such as a fire.
Some animals remain dormant for long periods, ready to reactivate when the rare rains fall.
